A look at the new infotainment system in the 2023 Lexus RX

If you thought the all-new 2023 Lexus RX looked good from the outside, wait until you get a look inside at the all-new Lexus Interface infotainment system.

As soon as you step inside, you’re greeted by the glare-reducing double-bonded 14” infotainment display. It’s bigger than it’s ever been in the RX, but it’s also been moved closer to the driver so they can more easily reach the touchscreen.

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the optional Mark/Levinson audio system definitely has to be herd to be believed.

Of course, CarPlay and Android Auto are great features, but don’t let the surface shine those apps provide distract you from all the fantastic features found underneath the surface.

On the navigation front, the cloud-based system allows for live updates along your route, while the map itself can be pinched and tilted just like your favourite smartphone or tablet. Over-the-air updates, meanwhile, allow the system to learn when new roads have been opened, so you’ll never miss a beat.

If you’d rather not have to reach for the touchscreen at all, there’s also voice-activation support. A simple “Hey Lexus” command can help you find the nearest coffee shop, the nearest gas station or supermarket. To make things even easier, your Lexus Assistant will even send a given business’ hours of operation and Google star rating to the navigation system.

You can also use voice commands for more “standard” tasks such as changing the temperature in your vehicle, or activating your seat warmers.

Of course, if you’d rather speak to a live person, then that service is available to you 24/7 via Destination Assist. You live agent can help you find what you’re looking for and send the coordinates directly to your navigation system.

All of this and a whole lot more awaits you in the new 2023 Lexus RX, so please pay us a visit and have a firsthand look at the new Lexus Interface!
