This is the all new 2023 Lexus RZ 450e, a fully electric sport utility vehicle. It was unveiled this week and we should see the final production version sometime next year. Now that is unveiled, expect the new Lexus RZ 450e to hit the market before the end of 2022.
The 2023 Lexus RZ 450e is the second fully electric Lexus vehicle to be offered, and it is the first that is coming to North America. It is built on a dedicated electric vehicle platform which it shares with the new Toyota b4ZX.
We expect both electric crossovers to share many components, but we also believe that the new 2023 Lexus RZ 450e will be more powerful. It is also a given that it will be more luxurious.
The other particular element about this platform is that it opens up a lot of interior space. We expect to see the 2023 Lexus RZ 450e sometime next year with production starting before the end of 2022.
In the meantime, you have a wide range of hybrid vehicle options currently offered in the Lexus lineup. The Lexus UX, for example, comes standard with hybrid powertrain while the Lexus NX now offers a plug-in hybrid version with over 60 kilometres of range.
