Three impressive features of the new Lexus infotainment system

Lexus is currently introducing its latest infotainment system to more and more models after having introduced it in the 2022 NX. Here are three of its most impressive features.

The driver memory settings

When the Lexus Interface infotainment system is paired with a smartphone via Bluetooth, the Lexus App can allow the vehicle to detect which driver is getting behind the wheel. This makes it possible for the different driver profiles to be recalled automatically when starting the engine. This means that the seat, the mirrors, and the steering wheel adjust to each driver’s preferred driving position. In addition, the radio pre-set stations and the settings for the infotainment system are automatically adjusted, saving drivers from having to reprogram everything after someone else drove their vehicle. An even more impressive aspect of this feature is that since the driver profiles are linked to a driver’s phone, they can be used in any Lexus vehicle equipped with the new infotainment system.

The Remote Connect service

The Lexus Interface infotainment system comes with a complimentary three-year subscription that makes it possible to control a number of the vehicle’s features via the Lexus App. This means that drivers can remotely lock and unlock their vehicles as well as being able to start the engine and adjust the climate control settings. This is especially useful in the winter since the vehicle can be commanded to start and warm up the cabin for a while before the driver and their passengers need to step outside.

The natural speech voice commands

The Lexus Interface infotainment system is capable of understanding a wide variety of commands that are formulated in a natural way. This means that drivers and passengers can simply ask the system to do tasks in the same way they would ask a personal assistant. This system can control many of the vehicle’s systems, including the climate control and the audio system. In order to make it easier to use the voice commands for everyone on board, the system responds when it hears “Hey Lexus”.
